Today is the Gregorian calendar on May 12, 2018. This day is indeed a special one, because it is both a festival of white angels and a day before Mother's Day, and it is also a ten-year sacrifice for compatriots who died in the Wenchuan earthquake. As a mother, I chose to tell my daughter today: Today is the tenth anniversary of the Wenchuan Earthquake. We cherish the memory of our dead compatriots in the heart and hope that they will all be well in heaven.
Ten years, fleeting. At this point, I picked up the phone again and found a video of the PLA and volunteers and medical staff to treat the victims a decade ago. I tried my best to control my emotions and tell them about these facts. The daughter listened carefully, looked at and felt. Unconsciously, I regained the memory of that year and my heart was still uneasy. It seemed that the scene of the rescue had reappeared in front of me. I finally couldn't hold back and shed tears…
On May 12, 2008, at 14:28:04. 1 sec., Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province broke out with a Richter magnitude of 8. 0. I clearly remember that at the time I was on my way to work, I suddenly felt dizzy and thought I was not feeling well. Later, after waiting for the unit, I learned that: Wenchuan earthquake! I creaked in my heart!
From 5.12 that day to 5.12 today, for a full decade, time flies. Infant babies of that year have now become young boys and girls. Today's young people are now grown up. Some have gone to work and some have had a wife and children… But on May 12, 2008, 69227 people were born. But forever fixed on that day. Today, I remembered the catastrophe again. My expression could not help but become dignified, my heart rate accelerated, and my tears kept spinning in my eyes. In that earthquake, how many children instantly became orphans, and how many parents lost their hearts in grief. They had no time to bid farewell and had no time to see goodbye. They were confused and yin and yang separated. This is another, but it is the first! After the catastrophe, each of our Chinese people immediately watched: how precious life is, the world is so beautiful.
The earthquake girl Liao Zhi, only 23 years old, was the sole survivor of the entire building. Her legs were forced to amputate due to decay. This is undoubtedly a tragic fact for the dance teacher. However, the strong Liao Zhi, the cruel reality did not dispel the confidence of her life. On the contrary, after two months of rehabilitation training, she returned to the stage and performed the dance name "Encourage." I think: The significance of this dance is to make the people in disaster-stricken areas regain the courage to live. The road ahead is very long…
I remember that I wrote this poem on May 23, 2008:
Looking out the window
Still no result
It was a nightmare
But this is an iron fact
It can't be erased…
I just feel pain and pain
Pain in my heart…
Because there is love in my heart
Affected compatriots can rebuild their spiritual homeland
After the road is still very long
Good to go…
On weekdays, we all need to have the spirit of Liao Zhi, because life will not always be gentle to us, but only strong, life will bloom like a flower.
This document gave the compatriots who died in the Wenchuan earthquake.
